SPOKANE, Wash. - After giving up the opener, Seattle U men's soccer (4-1-1) battled back to draw Gonzaga, 1-1, Sunday afternoon in Spokane. The draw extends the Redhawks unbeaten streak to five on the young season.

After conceding a goal in the first ten minutes of action, the Redhawks were able to level the match on a counter-attack in the 32'. After dispossessing the Bulldogs in their half, Kotaro Hirokawa launched a pass back up field to Richy Lapointe-Guevara, who flicked the ball onto Jeremy Opong for the finish. It was the second goal of the season for Opong and the second assist on the year for Lapointe-Guevara.

Level after 45, the Redhawks continued to be on the front foot in the second. They dominated possession and out shot Gonzaga 9-0 in the second half. Despite the difference, the Redhawks couldn't find the back of the net as the Bulldog keeper made seven saves to end the match at 1-1.
