SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's soccer fell in their 2023 season opener to San Diego, 1-2, Thursday afternoon at Championship Field. Despite scoring first and finding themselves up a man for most of the second half, the Redhakws couldn't hold on vs the Toreros.
Luke Hammond scored the first goal of the new campaign in the 25th minute, sending the Redhawks into half with the lead. San Diego would then be shown a red card early in the second half to drop down to 10 players, but two quick goals after gave them the lead and eventually the win.
