Varsity 8+ Wins Petite Final at WIRAs

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – Seattle University women's rowing closed out competition at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships with a first place finish in the Petite Finals for the Redhawks' Varsity 8+. Competition took place Saturday and Sunday on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif.

RANCHO CORDOVA, Calif. – Seattle University women's rowing closed out competition at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships with a first place finish in the Petite Finals for the Redhawks' Varsity 8+. Competition took place Saturday and Sunday on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif.

Following Saturday's preliminary races, Seattle U sent all three boats to Saturday's Petite Finals. The Redhawks' Varsity *+ won its final in 7:15.614, besting second-place finisher Santa Clara of the West Coast Conference.

Seattle U's Second Varsity 8+ placed fifth in a competitive Petite Final field. The Redhawks' Varsity 4+ took third.
