ABILENE, Texas. - Seattle U men's tennis continued their weekend travel trip in Abilene, Texas to battle against Abilene Christian. The match was very close, but the Wildcats would take the win, 3-4.
DOUBLES:
- Clement Hamel and Veselin Kiselkov won a competitive match against Dario Kmet and Cesar Barranquero in a score of 7-6.
- Julian Worn and Michael Frank followed up with a close 7-5 win against Daniel Morozov and Mihaly Deli to clinch the doubles point
SINGLES:
- Clement Hamel battled against Dario Kmet, but would be defeated 6-4, 3-6, 3-0 after retiring the third set
- Filip Stipic and Daniel Morozov were matched against each other, but Stipic would drop the match 6-7(7), 1-6
- Yu-Han Hsieh and Mihaly Deli had a very close match, and Hsieh would pull out the win 7-6, 6-4
- Veselin Kiselkov and Cesar Barranquero had a back and forth match that went to three sets, but Kiselkov would drop the match 3-6, 6-1, 3-6
- Michael Frank and Benjamin McDonald also had a close back and forth game, but Frank would be defeated 2-6, 7-5, 3-6
- Julian Worn finished off the match with a win against Savan Chhabra 3-6, 6-1, 6-4
The men's team will look to bounce back at home when they face off against Grand Canyon in Seattle.
