SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U women's tennis honored grad transfer Marija Elenova in her last home match with the Redhawks prior to their matchup against Abilene Christian at the Amy Yee Tennis Center.
DOUBLES:
- Elena Kraleva and Liliya Dimova started the match with a dominant 6-1 win over Masha Vrsalovic and Olivia Sears
- Lola Tavcar and Mireia Fehr took on Maryjoe Crisologo and Maria Cascos, but would drop the match 2-6
- Marija Elenova and Jade Quintana battled hard against Eva Arranz and Andrea Guerrero, but the Redhawk duo came up just short, losing the match 3-6 with the Wildcats securing the doubles point
SINGLES:
- Elena Kraleva kept her win streak going into singles with a 6-2, 6-1 win over Maryjoe Crisologo
- Lola Tavcar fought hard in her match against Olivia Sears, but Tavcar would be defeated 2-6, 3-6
- Liliya Dimova had an excellent match vs. Masha Vrsalovic, defeating her in two identical sets of 602
- Marija Elenova and Maria Cascos were matched up against each other, but Elenova would drop the match 4-6, 2-6
- Jade Quintana had a competitive match against Eva Erranz, but Quintana would be defeated 4-6, 6-7(2)
- Mireia Fehr and Andrea Guerrero had a back and forth match that went to a third set, but Fehr would drop the match 6-0, 3-6, 1-6
The women will reset and get ready for the postseason, as the WAC Championships will begin on April 27
