SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis hosted their first dual match of the weekend against UTRGV. The Redhawks caught fire in doubles and kept it going into singles, as the Redhawks took home the win in a score of 5-2.

SEATTLE, Wash. - Seattle U men's tennis hosted their first dual match of the weekend against UTRGV. The Redhawks caught fire in doubles and kept it going into singles, as the Redhawks took home the win in a score of 5-2.

DOUBLES:
  • Clement Hamel and Veselin Kiselkov took on Emilien Burnel and Borna Devald, but would be defeated 1-6.
  • Julian Worn and Michael Frank picked up a strong win against Karlo Krolo and Agustin Salazar, defeating the Vaqueros duo 6-2
  • Yu Han Hsieh and Filip Stipic battled against Sam Whitehead and Chris Lawrence, and the Redhawk pair came up with a 6-3 win to secure the doubles point for Seattle U
SINGLES:
  • Julian Worn kept his win streak going, as he defeated Agustin Salazar 6-2, 6-4
  • Filip Stipic and Borna Devald got paired up against each other, as Stipic would take the win 6-3, 6-4
  • Michael Frank and Sam Whitehead had a good match, as Frank would come out victorious 6-2, 6-4 to secure the team win for the Redhawks
  • Yu Han Hsieh and Chris Lawrence had a very competitive match with Hsieh defeating Lawrence in three sets, taking the win 3-6, 6-3, 10-5
  • Veselin Kiselkov had a heated battle against Karlo Krolo, after three close sets, Kiselkov would come up just short, losing the match 7-6, 4-6, 7-10
  • Clement Hamel would have to retire in his match against Emilien Burnel
The men will try to continue the positive momentum into Sunday when they take on UT Arlington.
