Bellevue, Wash. - Seattle U baseball dropped game 2 of their series with UC Davis, 1-11, Saturday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. After defeating the Aggies 11-1 in the first game, the Redhawks found themselves on the other end in the second as the series evens at 1-1.

"Tough day as we got played today," said head coach Donny Harrel. "German did not have his good stuff, so we have to pick him up from a bullpen standpoint or produce some runs, and we did not do either."

UC Davis scored a run in the first inning and eventually built up a 6-run lead after five. The Redhawks would score their first, and only, run of the game when Hudson Shupe drove home Trevor Antonson in the bottom of the 6th. Much like SU yesterday, the Aggies would have a big output in the 8th, scoring five, as they evened the series at one apiece with the 11-1 win.

When they connected to score the lone run in the game, Antonson and Shupe both extended their hitting streak to start the season to eight. The Redhawks recorded five hits on the day, with five different Redhawks each tallying one.

The Redhawks will look to bounce back and take the series with the Aggies tomorrow, March 4, at Bannerwood Park. Freshman Blake Smith is slotted to make his first start of the season on the mound for SU, with first pitch scheduled for 12pm PT.
