EUGENE, Ore. - Seattle U track and field start their outdoor season at the Oregon Preview, hosted by the University of Oregon. The meet will take place at Hayward Field, located on the University of Oregon's campus. The meet will start with field events at 11:00 AM PST, with track events starting at 2:00 PM PST. The Redhawks will look to carry the momentum from a very successful indoor season to the outdoor season. During the indoor season, the Redhawks were able to set three school records and win a WAC Championship in the men's distance medley relay.
True freshman Miguel Rosario III started off his college career strong, as he set the school record in the 60m Dash with a time of 6.80 seconds. Additionally, the women's distance medley relay team of Grace Much, Taylor Marks, Maya McCabe, and Azalea Groleau set a school record of 11:55.21 in the event.
The men's distance medley team of Alex Franklin, Isaiah Payne, Matthew Holme, and Gus Harquail came up big at the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. The quartet set a school record of 10:00.10 to win the WAC title in the event. This is the third championship under head coach Kelly Sullivan's tenure, as the men's and women's distance medley relay teams won the WAC Championship in 2018.
In addition to the WAC title won by the men's DMR, Bryana Rogers also had a great performance at the WAC Championship, as she jumped a mark of 11.84 meters to place eighth overall and earn All-WAC Second Team honors.
