MCALLEN, Ind. - Seattle U swim completed Day Two of the National Invite Championships. The Redhawks came away with solid performances, led by a new SU top-ten mark in the 100 Fly by Cole Lanting.
In the prelims of the 100 Fly, Lanting clocked in a time of 49.03. The great effort by Lanting was enough to place him seventh in school history in the event. Additionally, Lanting competed in the 200 Free, finishing in a time of 1:42.64.
Jaxon Gonzales and Nicholas Imig put up solid performances in the 100 Breast. Gonzales finished the race in 56.07, while Imig put up a time of 1:00.34.
On the women's side, Maggie Robben had a good showing in the 200 Free, clocking in a time of 1:52.23 in the race. True freshman Sarah Cook had a respectable effort in the 100 Breast, finishing in 1:03.31.
The Redhawks will look to wrap up competition in Day Three of the National Invite Championships, with events starting at 6:30 AM PST
