The three-day event is scheduled to open with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. pacific time on the GCU Championship Golf Course with a par of 72 and a yardage of 6,100.

PHOENIX, Ariz. - Seattle U women's golf heads to its second tournament of the 2023 spring season, heading to Phoenix for the GCU Lopes Invitational. The three-day event is scheduled to open with a shotgun start at 7 a.m. pacific time on the GCU Championship Golf Course with a par of 72 and a yardage of 6,100.

Seattle U will be competing against golfers from Delaware, Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Marshall, Montana State, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern Arizona, Northern Colorado, Southern Utah, Tarleton, UC Riverside, UTEP, Idaho, University of Louisiana Monroe and Utah Valley. The Redhawks will send graduate student Samantha Bruce, senior Azumi Arai, sophomores Rivekka Jumagulova and Shayna Lu and freshman Aaryanna Morris

This will be the seventh consecutive season where the Redhawks compete in the Grand Canyon invitational. Last season, Seattle U took fourth place with Bruce recording a two-under 214 (75-70-69) to finish tied for second place overall. The native of Makati City, Philippines, finished tied for second in par fie scoring at five-under, while also tying for fourth in made birdies with 11. SU has historically performed very well at this tournament, finishing in the top-five overall five out of six times.
