LAST TIME THEY MATCHED UP
The Redhawks took down both Utah Tech and Utah Valley the last time they faced each school back at the end of January. After falling behind 20-5 after one quarter in Orem, the Redhawks mounted their largest comeback of the season against the Wolverines to take the victory, 66-58. They outscored UVU, 61-38, over the course of the last three quarters, lead by a phenomenal three-point shooting night from sophomore Taliyah Clark

The Redhawks victory over Utah Tech was much different, jumping out to an early lead and holding it for 30 minutes of play. After a back-and-forth first quarter, Seattle U took control of the game during the second, outscoring Utah Tech, 19-12. SU's defense allowed them to take the lead, forcing three turnovers and limiting UT to 5-of-16 from the field and 2-for-9 from three. Junior Irena Korolenko had a stellar all-around game, logging 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as SU finished with four double-digit scorers.

CLARK FROM DOWNTOWN
Sophomore Taliyah Clark is playing some of her best basketball, leading the team in scoring in four of the last seven games. The 5-11 guard was on fire from three-point range against Utah Valley, finishing the evening 7-for-8 from distance to tie Seattle U's DI record for made threes in a single game. Clark's seven threes also ties for the single best three-point performance in the WAC this season.

The native of Lynnwood, Wash., didn't slow down against Utah Tech, knocking down another four three-pointers in a 17 point afternoon. Clark would finish that weekend 11-for-18 from long range for a superb 61%. During this span, Clark has set new career-highs in points (25), rebounds (nine) and steals (six).

SCORING CAREER-HIGHS
10 different Redhawks have recorded new career-highs in scoring this season, with sophomore Taliyah Clark's 25 against Utah Valley leading the group. Junior Peyton Howard scored a new career-high 21 in the final game of nonconference at UC San Diego, while junior Irena Korolenko recorded 19 points against CSUN back in the middle of December.

Sophomore Julianna Walker and freshman Mya Moore both logged 18 against Portland State and Eastern Washington, respectively, while freshman Noemie Bariteau (12), Asta Blauenfeldt (13), Sheridan Liggett (10), Lisa Michaelsen (11) and Makayla Moore (13) have all recorded double-digit games of their own.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
If the WAC Tournament started today, Utah Tech would be the fifth seed, holding a 0.39 WAC Resume seeding points with an overall record of 16-9 and 8-6 record in WAC play. The Trailblazers went 1-1 last week at home, falling to Stephen F. Austin (56-72) before taking down UTRGV (89-86) in a close matchup. Breaunna Gillen was their top player over the two contests, averaging 21.5 points, five assists and four and half rebounds.

The Trailblazers are one of the best scoring offenses in the WAC, averaging 75.96 points per game and shooting 34.5 from three-point range, ranking second and first in the conference in those categories. Utah Tech holds the fourth worst turnover margin (-1.88) and grabs the second lowest number of offensive rebounds (8.72) among WAC teams. The Redhawks are 2-1 all-time against the Trailblazers with their victory earlier this season giving them the series edge.

Utah Valley would be the 11th seed at the moment with -8.42 resume seeding points, holding an overall record of 6-19 with a 3-11 record in WAC play. The Wolverines lost their sole matchup last week, falling to California Baptist 52-90 on the road.

The Wolverines rank last in scoring (54.56) and have struggled to rebound, holding the second worst rebounding margin (-4.88) in the WAC. Seattle U improved its all-time record against Utah Valley to 13-11, winning the last contest, 66-58, in Orem during January.
