Redhawks Tie for Fourth at Shortened Redhawk Invitational

Seattle U men's golf completed play at the Redhawk Invitational Tuesday, finishing tied for fourth out of 23 teams. The two-day, 54-hole scheduled event saw Monday's first and second round canceled due to hazardous weather conditions. The tournament took place at Chamber's Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington, on the 7,068 yards course with a par of 71.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Seattle U men's golf completed play at the Redhawk Invitational Tuesday, finishing tied for fourth out of 23 teams. The two-day, 54-hole scheduled event saw Monday's first and second round canceled due to hazardous weather conditions. The tournament took place at Chamber's Bay Golf Course in University Place, Washington, on the 7,068 yards course with a par of 71.

With the first round abandoned and the second round canceled, the tournament winner and medalist was determined by Tuesday's single round totals. Boise State earned the team title with a score of three-over 287, while Boise State's Max Charles won the individual title with a score of two-under 69. 

Seattle U posted a team score of 13-over 297, converting the third most birdies (13) and finishing tied for second in par three scoring (3.20) and par five scoring (4.80). 

Senior Nathan Cogswell earned second place, tying his season best overall finish, with a one-under 70. The Kent, Washington, native tied for first in par three scoring (2.50) and tied for third in made birdies (4).

Fellow senior Harrison Murphy tied for 15th with a score of three-over 74, while freshman Liam Gill finished two strokes behind him and sophomore Blake Kukula posted a six-over 77. Rounding out the team score was senior Jack Rahon with a single round score of 79. 

Competing as an individual was junior Alex Fowke who finished with a single round score of 81. 

The Redhawks will compete in one more tournament before the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championships at the UC Davis Aggie Invitational in El Macero, California, from Apr. 20-22.
