SEATTLE - Seattle U women's basketball will open play on the 2022-23 season this Saturday, taking on Saint Martin's in its first exhibition game since 2019. The game, which is free to the public, will tip off at 6 p.m. with live stats available.

NEWS AND NOTES
- Coach Suzy Barcomb begins her seventh season in charge at Seattle U. Barcomb is one of two active NCAA coaches to have taken a team to the NCAA Tournament in all three division levels. NC State's Wes Moore is the only other coach to accomplish the feat.
- Seattle U's roster features eight newcomers, six freshman and two transfers. The Redhawks return seven players from last year's team.
- SU features four international players on this year's roster, with two hailing from Denmark (Asta Vadum Blauenfeldt, Lisa Michaelsen), one from Norway (Kari Kyrkjebo) and one from Australia (Madeline Phillips).
- The Redhawks added former Oregon standout Oti Gildon to its coaching staff this offseason. Gildon appeared in the third most games for the Ducks (143) and is a two-time USA Basketball 3x3 national champion.
