"This is an exciting class from a pure athleticism standpoint," said coach Harrel. "All these young men bring something unique to the team, so we are looking forward to having them as part of our organization."
Jaisen Abner, UTL, 5'9, 172, R/R - O'Dea HS, Washington
"Jaisen is a natural leader, both on and off the field. At the plate, he utilizes his strong lower half, along with quick hands, resulting in gap-to-gap power. JJ has made strides in all facets of his game and will step on campus next fall looking to have a significant impact in our program." - Coach Millard Dawson
"JJ will come in and lead by example right away. He has a tremendous amount of confidence and is versatile in multiple positions. His bat is his greatest tool right now and has some pop packed in that compact frame." - Coach Harrel
Brett Ellingson, LHP, 6'3, 185lbs - Puyallup HS, Washington
"After an excellent high school season, we are excited to see his development jump in his senior campaign. He is an easy guy to like with a calm demeanor off the field and competitor between the lines. We are expecting big things from him. " - Coach Carter Capps
"Brett is a really good athlete and is truly just learning how to pitch fulltime. He has a great frame to put on positive weight and his athleticism really shows up on the mound. He could be an absolute stud in our conference by his junior year." - Coach Harrel
Drake Gabel, LHP, 6'1, 195lbs - West Linn HS, Oregon
"Drake is a two sport athlete with a ton of fast twitch potential. We are hoping he can bring his defense heavy, rebounding basketball mindset to our baseball program. " - Coach Capps
"Watching Drake pitch this summer reminded me of SU alum Jake Prizina who is in the Baltimore Orioles organization. Drake has a great feel for the baseball and can really control the zone with multiple pitches. He is the definition of a true strike thrower who can help us out right away." - Coach Harrel
Royce Hale, INF, 6'4, 200lbs, L/R - Marysville, Washington
"At 6'4 Royce passes the eye test for sure. It is not every day when you see a player that size with his athleticism. He has a chance to put up big power numbers with a patient and selective approach at the plate. With his quiet demeanor, Royce is a man of few words, looking to let his barrel do the talking in the 2023." - Coach Dawson
"Royce could be a monster at this level. He has big leverage in his swing and is just starting to figure out his body and how to use it throughout the swing process. He is incredibly smooth in the infield for his size and defends with good rhythm and tempo." - Coach Harrel
Sam Kane, UTL, 5'11, 180lbs, R/R - Bishop Manogue HS, Nevada
"As coaches, we are always looking for guys who possess all the tools. Sam is above average to elite in all 5 categories. He has incredibly good instincts, good bat speed, and shows the ability to get to 2B on his own. He will be an impact player for us early in his career and has the intangibles to play this game for a long time." - Coach Dawson
"ATHLETE! We continue to try to get faster and more athletic and no doubt Sam fits that profile for us. He has a plus arm, pop off the bat, and can really run. I look forward to see where he ends up on the field because he can truly play the infield or outfield. The bat will give him a great chance to start right away as a freshman" - Coach Harrel
Brandon Stinnett, INF, 5'9, 160lbs, L/R - Spraque HS, Oregon
"Brandon is the epitome of a "blue-collar" player. He has a certain grittiness about him that you love to see from your infielders. The ability to make all the throws from different angles and depths, along with a quick bat, are just a few of the things that led to him earning a scholarship at our prospect camps this past fall. Brandon is the type of player that will make your program better due to his work ethic and will to win, that his teammates are sure to follow." - Coach Dawson
"Brandon came up and made a great showing in our prospect camp. He has no fear and a strong desire to truly compete. He will get even better when he gets stronger and physically matures down the road, so his projection is exciting." - Coach Harrel
Jake Wagoner, C, 6'0, 190lbs, R/R - Vista Ridge HS, Texas
"There are few players in the class that bring as much raw strength and bat speed to the plate that Wagoner does. His present physicality and the power projection will lead to early opportunities for Jake to make an immediate impact for us. He has the "moxie" and mental toughness you want from a field general behind the dish to complete our battery." - Coach Dawson
"This guy is the complete package. His morals and values he was raised with show up consistently on the field through his leadership skills. He plays on an elite travel team in Texas and has had continued success among really good competition. Jake should be an impact player here right away at Seattle U." - Coach Harrel
Thomas Williamson, RHP, 6'1, 185lbs - Tomball HS, Texas
"We are really excited about this young man. He works fast and throws fast with great tempo and an attack mindset. We are lucky to have him and excited to see what he can accomplish as a Redhawk! " - Coach Capps
"Jake Wagoner got us onto Thomas, as we were looking to get deeper into Texas, since we now have so many Texas schools in the conference, and Jake led us to a good one! Thomas has really good hand speed and athleticism, as he also has played shortstop. He will be a wiry arm with competitive secondary stuff that is ready to pitch right away." - Coach Harrel
