Seattle U Drops Matchup with Utah Valley

SEATTLE - Seattle U volleyball took part in its sole Western Athletic Conference (WAC) match of the weekend on Saturday, falling to Utah Valley in thee sets (16-25, 18-25, 22-25). The match was played at the Redhawk Center on the campus of Seattle U in Seattle.

SEATTLE - Seattle U volleyball took part in its sole Western Athletic Conference (WAC) match of the weekend on Saturday, falling to Utah Valley in thee sets (16-25, 18-25, 22-25). The match was played at the Redhawk Center on the campus of Seattle U in Seattle.

The Redhawks improved their team score each set but were unable to claim one in this match. The Wolverine's Kazna Tanuvasa (12) and Bryton Nixon (14) would post game-high totals in kills and digs, performing as vital members in the victory. 

Ezgi Ozkan made it 11 matches in a row with 25 or more assists, recording 32 in this match to go along with six digs. Arianna Bilby posted 11 overall kills, making it three straight matches with double-digit kills, while Shanice Horn added nine kills of her own. Lauren McCabe recorded five kills and total blocks, while Erin Goya finished with 11 digs in her first match of the year as the libero. Catherine Conlisk made her Seattle U debut, registering three kills and one total block. 

Seattle U continues its home stand with Country Night on Thursday, hosting Stephen F. Austin for the first time in program history with the match starting at 6 p.m.
