ST. GEORGE, Utah - Seattle U volleyball concluded its weekend road trip to Utah on Saturday, falling to Utah Tech three sets to one (18-25, 22-25, 25-19, 13-25). The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) matchup was played at the Burns Arena in St. George, Utah.

ST. GEORGE, Utah - Seattle U volleyball concluded its weekend road trip to Utah on Saturday, falling to Utah Tech three sets to one (18-25, 22-25, 25-19, 13-25). The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) matchup was played at the Burns Arena in St. George, Utah.

Sophomore Erin Goya had a career-best performance, tying SU's seventh all-time digs record with 30. The native of Honolulu, Hawaii, has slotted into the libero role nicely, recording double-digit digs in four out of five matches. 

Three Redhawks tallied double-digit kills in this match, the most so far this season. Sophomore Arianna Bilby lead the way with 13, while senior Shanice Horn logged 11 and freshman Merima Smajlovic posted her first career double-double with new career highs in kills (12) and digs (16). 

Senior Ezgi Ozkan was the Redhawks best overall player, recording 36 assists, three blocks and finishing two digs shy of another double-double. Junior Kylie Waters had a season-high 10 digs, logging her first double-digit dig match of the year. 

Seattle U will continue its four match road trip on Thursday, heading to Abilene, Texas, to take on Abilene Christian for the first ever matchup between the two.
