McCabe Posts Four Solo Blocks at Southern Utah

SEATTLE - Seattle U volleyball began its four match road trip on Thursday, falling to Southern Utah in three sets (20-25, 14-25, 19-25). The Western Athletic (WAC) matchup was played at the America First Event Center in Cedar City, Utah.

SEATTLE - Seattle U volleyball began its four match road trip on Thursday, falling to Southern Utah in three sets (20-25, 14-25, 19-25). The Western Athletic (WAC) matchup was played at the America First Event Center in Cedar City, Utah.

Senior Lauren McCabe recorded a season-high four solo blocks, moving into second all-time with 38 career solo blocks. McCabe currently leads the team in total blocks, logging 54 this season. The Wilsonville, Ore., native leads the team in total blocks with 58 and ranks ninth all-time with 229.

Fellow senior Ezgi Ozkan logged 24 assists and finished two digs shy of another double-double, while Marley Hardgrave and Shanice Horn tied for the team league in kills with seven. Libero Erin Goya finished with 10 digs for her sixth double-digit dig match of the season, while freshman Sydney Wilkes set new career-highs in kills (3) and digs (4).

Seattle U will continue its weekend in Utah, heading to St. George for a matchup with the newly branded Utah Tech.
