PALO ALTO, Calif. - Seattle U women's tennis competed in Day Two of the ITA Regionals, hosted by Stanford, in Palo Alto, California.

"We've been dealing with some injuries which prevented some of the women to play at a hundred percent" said Head Coach Kristina Hollander "However, everyone took advantage of the great opportunity we had to compete against higher level competition. We have a lot of work ahead of us in order to be fully prepared for the upcoming season. I'm happy to see where are team is at and we have a lot to look forward to." 

Elena Kraleva would play in the round of 32 in singles after defeating University of Pacific's MiaAngela Ruja and Oregon's Jo-Yee Chan. Kraleva would play against Stanford's Alexis Blokhina, but would drop the match in identical sets of 2-6, 2-6.

In the singles consolation draw, Liliya Dimova picked up a win against Portland's Likhitha Kalava. The sophomore would win the match in two identical sets of 6-4, 6-4. Mireia Fehr had a close battle against Saint Mary's Olivia Rook that went to a tiebreaker set, but would be defeated 6-4, 1-6 (8-10). Freshman Lola Tavcar would play against San Francisco's Qianer Qui, but would drop the match in close identical sets of 5-7, 5-7. Jade Quintana was matched up against Saint Mary's Gabriela Tevez, but was defeated 2-6, 1-6. 

In doubles play, Kraleva and Dimova faced off against Sacramento State's Yotova and Gorbunova after an impressive win against Eastern Washington's Mann and Andersen in Day One. Kraleva and Dimova woud end their tournament run after losing to the Sacramento State duo 3-8. 

Jade Quintana would team up with Shuanghu Huang in the doubles consolation draw to take on Tevez and Pope from Saint Mary's, however, the duo would come up just short, dropping the match 6-8. Lola Tavcar and Meiria Fehr paired up to take on Andersen and Mann from EWU, but dropped the match 4-8.

The next time the Redhawks will play again will be on January 13 in a dual meet against Eastern Washington
