Three Redhawks in the Top-25 at Oregon State Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Seattle U men's golf concluded play at the the Oregon State Beaver Invitational on Tuesday, finishing tied for sixth out of 15 teams. Three Redhawks finished in the top-25 overall, lead by graduate student Jack Rahon tying for 13th place. The two-day, 54 hole event took place at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore., on the 7,384 yards course with a par of 71.

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Seattle U men's golf concluded play at the the Oregon State Beaver Invitational on Tuesday, finishing tied for sixth out of 15 teams. Three Redhawks finished in the top-25 overall, lead by graduate student Jack Rahon tying for 13th place. The two-day, 54 hole event took place at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis, Ore., on the 7,384 yards course with a par of 71. 

The Redhawks posted a team score of 23-over 875, with their best round of 290 coming in the first round.

Rahon finished with a three-round total of 216 (73-72-71), improving by one stroke every round. Behind Rahon were graduate student Nathan Cogswell (67-77-74) and sophomore Liam Gill (76-71-71), tying for 23rd overall with three-round totals of 218. Cogswell was at his best on the par fives, tying for second in average (4.56) and scoring (four-under) and tied his season-low round of 67 in the first round. 

Rounding out the team score were junior Blake Kukula (74-76-75) and freshman Ben Ragland (78-75-75), finishing with three-round totals of 225 and 228, respectively. 

Seattle U will conclude the fall season in Las Cruces, New Mexico, at the New Mexico State Aggie Invitational on Oct. 17-18.
