SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - Seattle U men's golf completed its season opening tournament on Tuesday, finishing 10th out of 10 teams at the USF Olympic Club Invitational. The two-day, 54 hole event took place at The Olympic Club in San Francisco, California, on the 6,957 yards course with a par of 71.
Junior Blake Kukula and freshman Ben Ragland were SU's top golfers in this event, finishing tied for 19th place at three-over 216. Ragland makes his collegiate debut in this tournament, making his two-under 70 round his personal best. Graduate student Nathan Cogswell (74-74-77) posted a three-round total of 225, while fellow graduate student Jack Rahon (79-71-77) finished two strokes behind him and freshman Jakob Balkovec (82-75-77) rounds out the team score in his collegiate debut.
The Redhawks will not have long to rest, returning to action in six days at the Olympic Course at Gold Mountain for the UW Husky Invitational in Bremerton, Wash.
