TOURNAMENT PREVIEW: Men's Golf at Olympic Club Invitational

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Seattle U men's golf opens the 2022-23 season on Monday at the Olympic Club Invitational, hosted by San Francisco, in San Francisco, California. The two-day event is scheduled to take place on the 6,957 yard course at the Olympic Lake Course with a par of 71. Both days will feature shotgun starts with Monday starting at 8:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 8 a.m.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Seattle U men's golf opens the 2022-23 season on Monday at the Olympic Club Invitational, hosted by San Francisco, in San Francisco, California. The two-day event is scheduled to take place on the 6,957 yard course at the Olympic Lake Course with a par of 71. Both days will feature shotgun starts with Monday starting at 8:30 a.m. and Tuesday at 8 a.m.

The Redhawks will be competing against golfers from BYU, LMU, Little Rock, Nevada, Saint Mary's, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara and UC Davis. Seattle U's team lineup will consist of graduate students Nathan Cogswell and Jack Rahon, junior Blake Kukula and freshman Jakob Balkovec and Ben Ragland

All three returners in this lineup were key members of the team last season. Cogswell was WAC Champion and an All-WAC First Team member, while Rahon was named to the All-WAC Second Team and Kukula competed in every tournament last season. Newcomers Balkovec and Ragland will make their collegiate debuts in this tournament, joining the Redhawks from Kranj, Slovenia and San Ramon, California, respectively.
