SEATTLE – The 18-game 2022-23 Western Athletic Conference schedule has been announced and will get underway for Seattle U men's basketball on New Year's Eve and culminate on March 3 against one of the two newest members of the league.
The Redhawks open WAC play in Seattle on Saturday, Dec. 31 against California Baptist. They then hit the road for the first of two trips to Texas, facing UTRGV on Jan. 5 and UT Arlington on Jan. 7.
A return to Seattle pits the Redhawks against reigning WAC Tournament champion NM State on Jan. 12. A quick trip to Utah to face Utah Valley follows on Jan. 14. The Redhawks are then home for two straight, hosting Tarleton State on Jan. 19 and Southern Utah on Jan. 21.
A second Texas swing takes Seattle U to Sam Houston on Jan. 26 and Stephen F. Austin on Jan. 28. The Redhawks then play three of their next four back home, hosting Abilene Christian on Feb. 1, traveling to NM State on Feb. 4, hosting Utah Tech on Feb. 8 and Grand Canyon on Feb. 11.
The final stretch of the regular season including a trip to California Baptist on Feb. 15, a home game against Utah Valley on Feb. 18, road games at Grand Canyon and Utah Tech on Feb. 24 and Mar. 1, respectively, and a home match up against UT Arlington on Mar. 3.
The 2023 WAC Tournament will be contested Monday, March 6 through Saturday, March 11 in Las Vegas.
