MESA - The 2022 Seattle U baseball season came to an end on Thursday when they fell to Abilene Christian, 3-10. The loss eliminated the Redhawks from the WAC tournament.
After being held scoreless in the first two innings, the Wildcats scored at least one run in the next five innings. With a five run deficit heading to the bottom half of the fifth inning, the Redhawks mounted a rally.
It all started with a Julian Kodama single to center field, which was then followed by a single from Colin Curry. Trevor Antonson would then reach on a dropped third strike that allowed for Kodama to score. Back-to-back singles from Derek Gellos and Matt Boissoneault brought two more in as it became a 2-run game.
The Redhawks could not find that same spark again, being held scoreless for the remainder of the game and eventually falling to the Wildcats by a final score of 3-10.
