PHOENIX - Seattle U baseball wrapped up their regular season on Saturday, falling to Grand Canyon 1-6.
For the first time in the series, the Redhawks did not score first[. The Lopes got out to a three run lead through the first five innings. Connor O'Brien drove in the lone SU run in the sixth with a single that brought in Aidan Welch. That would be the lone run for the Redhawks as they dropped the three game series.
The Redhawks finished the regular season with.a 16-32 overall record and 11-19 in conference play, good enough for the three seed in the west division.
Seattle U will now prepare for an opening round matchup with Lamar in the WAC tournament on Wednesday, May 25 in Mesa. This will be the first meeting between the Redhawks and Cardinals this season. First pitch is set for 4pm at Hohokam Stadium.
