BOULDER CITY, Nev. - Seattle U men's golf concluded round one play at the 2022 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championships Friday, sitting in 10th place as a team. The Redhawks posted a team score of 17-over 305, while Sam Houston State currently sits in the lead at four-under.
Senior Nathan Cogswell leads the Redhawks after one round, tying for 20th overall after shooting a one-over par 73. Cogswell is playing at his best on par fives, tying for third overall in average (4.00) and scoring (four-under).
Fellow senior Jack Rahon posted a three-over 75, while sophomore Blake Kukula finished the round with a 78 and senior Harrison Murphy finished one stroke behind him. Junior Alex Fowke entered the lineup as a last minute substitute, shooting an 84 in round one.
Round two of the WAC Championships tees off on Saturday, Apr. 30 at 7:30 a.m. with the Redhawks being one of the first teams to tee off.
