SEATTLE – The Seattle U Redhawks took a 6-0 loss against Grand Canyon Saturday to end the weekend series. The Redhawks move to 23-18 overall and 9-6 in WAC play after today, good for second in the WAC West Division.
Grace Luderer was solid in six innings of work, coming just one away from her career high with eight strikeouts while walking just one. Luderer retired six in a row at one point and struck out four batters in the first two innings alone. Naomi Chaidez would throw one inning in relief as well.
Seattle U's best chance came in the sixth, when it loaded the bases with two outs after two errors and an HBP but could not score. The Redhawks had three HBPs in the game as Olivia Viggiano, Tai Wilson, and Madison Kahwaty all reached.

SCORING
- Third Inning: The Redhawks nearly escaped a bases-loaded, no-out jam, only for a blooper off the hands to fall in no-man's land in leftfield, driving in the first two runs of the game. A single off the glove of the pitcher added another, making it 3-0.
- Sixth Inning: Grand Canyon smacked a double to the left-center gap, making it 4-0. One more run would score on a wild pitch with two outs.
- Seventh Inning: Another wild pitch added to Grand Canyon's lead, making it 6-0.
