TOURNAMENT PREVIEW: Women's Golf Hosts Chamber's Bay Invitational

Seattle U women's golf and Washington will cohost the Chamber's Bay Invitational, starting Monday at Chamber's Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash. The two-day event is scheduled to be played from Apr. 11-12 on the 6,046 yards course with a par of 72. Both days will feature shotgun starts, beginning at 8 a.m.

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. - Seattle U women's golf and Washington will cohost the Chamber's Bay Invitational, starting Monday at Chamber's Bay Golf Course in University Place, Wash. The two-day event is scheduled to be played from Apr. 11-12 on the 6,046 yards course with a par of 72. Both days will feature shotgun starts, beginning at 8 a.m. 

Seattle U will compete against golfers from BYU, Boise State, Colorado State, Denver, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Idaho, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Pepperdine, Sacramento State, San Francisco, SMU, UCLA, Washington and Wyoming. The team lineup consists of graduate student Keisha Lugito, senior Samantha Bruce, junior Azumi Arai and freshman Rivekka Jumagulova and Shayna Lu, while graduate student Vendela From, junior Megan Kelly and freshman Annika Cruz, Maria Fedorowycz, Konomi Matsubara and Samantha Yates compete as individuals. 

Bruce (70-76-73) and Jumagulova (72-71-76) enter this tournament after tying for sixth overall with three round totals of three-over 219 at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic. The senior earned her third consecutive top-15 finish, while the freshman placed in the top-10 for the fourth time this season.
