HAVING A WAC-Y TIME
After another series win, the Redhawks have now won 15 consecutive WAC series, building on a program record. Seattle U has not lost a WAC series since 2018, when it dropped two of three games at New Mexico State. Since that time, the Redhawks are 39-9 in WAC play, including 6-0 in the WAC Tournament. The Redhawks have gone 10-4 in series openers in that time.

BIG TIME BAT
Carley Nance made it six homers in her last six games last weekend. That included a two-homer, six-RBI game in the finale against Dixie State, matching Seattle U's single-game records in both homers and RBI. It was Nance's third career multi-homer game and the tenth multi-homer game in Seattle U history. It was just the third time a Redhawk has had six RBI in a game: Nance matched Madison Cathcart (March 6, 2018) and Savannah Loomis (April 15, 2017).

DEFENSE FIRST
The Redhawks allowed just one run across three games last weekend, shutting out Dixie State in the final two games of the season to build a 14-inning shutout streak. Those were the first back-to-back shutouts by the Redhawks since April 16 and 17 of last season. Seattle U had not allowed one or fewer runs in a conference series since 2019, when it allowed one run in three games against Cal State Bakersfield.

ONE HITTERS ARE PRETTY GOOD
Grace Luderer one-hit Dixie State last weekend, earning her first career shutout. It was the first one-hitter by the Redhawks since April 30 of last year, when Shi Smith allowed just one hit in a five-inning shutout. The last time the Redhawks allowed one or fewer hits in at least a six-inning game was 2020, when Shi Smith threw a seven-inning no-hitter against UC Davis. The last freshman to throw a one-hitter was also Shi Smith, who did so in five innings against UMKC in 2018.

TAI SLAPS
Tai Wilson now has multiple hits in four straight games, hitting .688 in that time. Wilson's batting average has raised by over 60 points during that stretch, to .312. Only two true freshman in the WAC, Dixie State's Lauren Almeida and Carly Eldredge, have higher batting averages this season than Wilson. In WAC play, Wilson is hitting .484, the fifth-best mark in the conference and best of any freshman.

OLIVIA LIVES ON BASE
Olivia Viggiano is currently on a six-game hitting streak, with multiple hits in four of those. This is Viggiano's third hitting streak of six or more games this season. Viggiano is now tied with Cherise Silvan for tenth in Seattle U history in hits with 170 and is fourth in runs scored with 117, just five behind Ally Choate and Megan MacIsaac for second and six behind Kaylee Ree for first.

ALL SHE DOES IS WIN
Stefanie Madrigal moved to 10-0 against WAC opponents in her career with two wins over Dixie State. Madrigal currently leads the WAC in both wins and ERA. Only two other pitchers, Kassidy Wilbur of Stephen F. Austin and Alyssa Argomaniz of CBU, have also thrown 100+ innings with an ERA under 3.00.
