KALYN DRIVIN' IN
Kalyn Hill's stretch of consecutive hits driving in at least one run came to a close at 11 in a row after a single with no runners on against Robert Morris. Hill would start a new streak shortly with a three-run homer in the next game. Hill now has 19 RBI on her first 18 hits and needs one RBI to become the fifth player in the WAC, and only freshman, with 20+ RBI on the year.
SECOND BASEMAN TAKING SECOND BASES
Lily Garcia record two more extra-base hits against Robert Morris to give her nine on the season after entering this year with zero extra-base hits in her career. Seven of Garcia's last 11 hits have gone for extra-bases. She needs one more hit to reach 20 on the season, doubling her career total in hits entering this season.
CAR-B-I
Carley Nance is up to 23 RBI on the season, putting her seven away from matching her career high, set in 2019. Nance has 85 career RBI now, the tenth-most in Seattle U history. She needs three more RBI to tie Maddy Kristjanson for ninth in program history.
RUNS AND RUNNING
Olivia Viggiano moved up to a tie for ninth in Seattle U history in runs scored, matching Bubba Morrow with 106. Viggiano can quickly match Jane Purdy (107 runs, 8th all-time), Alyson Matriotti (108, 7th), and Madison Cathcart (109, 6th). Viggiano also recorded her 150th career hit against Robert Morris.
WILSON WHACKS
While Tai Wilson's six-game hit streak came to a close, the freshman now has hits in eight of the last nine games. Her six-game hit streak was the longest by a Redhawk freshman since 2019, when Olivia Viggiano had a seven-game hit streak.
STEFANIE CG
Stefanie Madrigal has matched her 2021 complete-game total in 15 fewer appearances. She already has three games with 5+ strikeouts this year after entering this season with six such games in her career. Madrigal has completed over half of her starts this year and needs one more win to reach 20 in her career.
CARLEY WITH A K
Carley Nance is now third in the WAC in strikeouts with 44 despite throwing at least ten fewer innings than any other WAC pitcher with 40+ strikeouts. Nance needs 14 more strikeouts to tie Shi Smith for second in Seattle U history.
GOODNESS GRACE-IOUS
Grace Luderer struck out eight in her first complete game, a win over Robert Morris. Luderer is now tied for eigth in the WAC in strikeouts with 37 and is the only WAC pitcher with fewer than 30 innings pitched and more than 25 strikeouts.
