KALYN DRIVIN' IN
Kalyn Hill has driven in at least one run on each of her last ten hits and on 12 of her 15 hits this season. Hill has 15 RBI in all, good for ninth in the WAC and the most of any freshman in the conference. Hill has yet to go more than two consecutive games without an RBI.
CAR-B-I
Carley Nance is up to 21 RBI on the season, surpassing her 2021 total in 35 fewer at-bats. Nance has 83 career RBI now, tied with Megan MacIsaac for the tenth-most in Seattle U history. She needs five more RBI to tie Maddy Kristjanson for ninth in program history and nine more RBI to match her single-season best, set in 108 at-bats in 2019.
RUNS AND RUNNING
Olivia Viggiano is poised to enter Seattle U's all-time top ten in runs scored, currently sitting at 104 in her career. Viggiano is just behind Katie Petersen (105, 10th), Bubba Morrow (106, 9th), Jane Purdy (107, 8th), Alyson Matriotti (108, 7th), and Madison Cathcart (109, 6th). This season, Viggiano has reached base safely 21 times and scored 14 runs. Four times she has scored multiple runs in a game already.
BREAK OUT
Lily Garcia has already set new career highs in every offensive category this season. That includes besting her combined career totals in runs, hits, extra-base hits, RBI, and walks in just 20 games. She needs just four more hits to double her career hit total entering this season. All seven of Garcia's career extra-base hits have come this year, with five of those in the last seven games.
WILSON WHACKS
Tai Wilson's six-game hit streak came to a close Sunday after going 0-for-2 against Utah. Wilson's six-game streak was the longest by a Redhawk freshman since 2019, when Olivia Viggiano had a seven-game hit streak.
IF NOT NOW, WEHN
Jasmine Wehn has hits in four of the last five games, including the first two multi-hit games of her career. Wehn hit .364 last weekend. Against Cal State Fullerton, Wehn started both Seattle U scoring innings with leadoff hits.
STEFANIE CG
Stefanie Madrigal needs just one more complete game to match her 2021 total and two more to match her career total entering this season. Madrigal has earned the win in six of her last eight outings and has pitched in eight of Seattle U's 11 wins this season. One more win would give Madrigal 20 in her career.
CARLEY WITH A K
Carley Nance is now third in the WAC in strikeouts with 44 despite throwing at least ten fewer innings than any other WAC pitcher with 40+ strikeouts. Nance needs 14 more strikeouts to tie Shi Smith for second in Seattle U history.
