UTRG-REMATCH
This will be the third time Seattle U has faced UTRGV. Seattle U won the home matchup 71-68 in overtime and fell on the road 60-68. All-time, the Redhawks are 8-11 against UTRGV, including 3-3 in the last three seasons. Over the last three years, the total point margin in those games favors UTRGV by just four points, with three games going into overtime.
THEFT IS GOOD
Bree Calhoun recorded her second career 70-steal season and sits at 71 steals on the year now. Calhoun joins Daidra Brown as the only Redhawks with multiple seasons of 70+ steals. She needs two more steals to tie Kamira Sanders, Pam Clark, and Shannon Welch for the eighth-most in a single season in Seattle U history and three more to tie Kelly Brewer for seventh. Two more steals would give Calhoun 156 in her career, tying Laina Sobczak for tenth in Seattle U history in career steals despite playing just 53 games.
HAILEY VICE? NEAT!
Hailey Vice-Neat joined the starting lineup for the Redhawks six games ago. In those six games, the Redhawks are 4-2 with a +7 point differential. Seattle U is shooting 40% from the field and 35% from three-point range, increases of 2% and 8%, respectively. Seattle U has shot over 40% in three of those six games and has shot under 36% just once in those six. That includes shooting 47% from the field against Dixie State, the team's third-highest shooting percentage of the year.
FROM DEEP DOWN UNDER
Courtney Murphy has scored in double figures in three straight games. In that time, Murphy is 10-for-21 from three-point range. Over the last six games, Murphy is shooting 47% from deep, with four games of multiple threes. Murphy needs just two more threes to reach 50 on the year, joining Cassidy Murillo as the only Redhawk to record 50+ threes in multiple seasons.
DEFENSE FIRST
On February 19, the Redhawks fell 83-73 on the road to California Baptist, with the Lancers shooting 44% from the field. In the three games since, the Redhawks have held opponents to 32% shooting from the field and 25% from deep. That includes holding Chicago State to 28% shooting, Seattle U's best defensive performance against a Division I school this season.
MOVING THE BALL
Overall this season, the Redhawks have assisted on 58% of their buckets. In the last two games, however, Seattle U is assisting on 73%. Five different Redhawks have recorded multiple assists in either of those games, with McKenzi Williams recording 3+ in both.
A WELL-ROUNDED GAME
McKenzi Williams has recorded at least nine points, four rebounds, and three assists in each of the last two games for the Redhawks. In the last five, Williams is averaging 4.2 RPG, with 4+ in four of five games. Williams broke the 200-assist mark in her career against Chicago State. She needs seven more rebounds to break 100 on the season and eight more to match her single-season career high, accomplished last year. Five more points would give Williams 250 on the season.
BLOCKS: THEY'RE COOL
Georgia Kehoe is up to 1.1 blocks per game this season, good for fifth in the WAC. Kehoe is one of just three players in the WAC to rank in the conference's top five in blocks in each of the last two years, alongside California Baptist's Caitlyn Harper and UTRGV's Sara Bershers. Kehoe has gone multiple games in a row without a block just twice over the last two years and has never gone more than three games in a row without a block.
