SAN ANTONIO – Seattle U baseball was kept off the board for the second straight game, falling to UTSA Sunday afternoon, 0-13, in San Antonio.
The Redhawks (1-7) were swept in the series after only mustering two hits in the loss to the Roadrunners.
Grant Heiser and Kyle Sherick picked up the lone base hits for SU, while Kellen Carr and Julian Kodama both reached on walks as only four Redhawks got on base.
The Roadrunners (5-1) took a one run lead after the second inning, but back-to-back five-run innings in the fifth and sixth quickly put things out of reach.
In his second start of the season, Alex Jemal went 4 2/3 innings while giving up six runs on nine hits. Ethan Brown made his first appearance of the season out of the bullpen, giving up just one hit in one inning of work.
After dropping the series to UTSA, the Redhawks will look to bounce back with a one game trip to take on 14th ranked Oregon State on Tuesday, March 1. First pitch between the Redhawks and Beavers is scheduled for 5:35 PM PT in Corvallis.
