SWIPER YES SWIPING
Bree Calhoun needs just one more steal to reach 150 in her career, becoming the 11th Redhawk with 150+ steals in program history. Calhoun has record 149 steals in just 50 career games, averaging 2.98 steals per game, the highest SPG career mark of any Redhawk. In the last home game, Calhoun had seven steals against UTRGV. That was the second-most in a single game in Seattle U history, behind only Kaylee Best's eight in 2015. Calhoun and Kamira Sanders are the only Redhawks ever with multiple games with seven steals.
JADYNN O-LEXANDER
Jadynn Alexander has six double-digit scoring performances this year. Three of those have come in the last five games, including in each of the last two. Alexander has shot 46% from the field since going 1-for-9 at Stephen F. Austin. She has scored eight or more points in five straight home games: she last scored less at home on December 10, against Washington.
CLOSING STRONG
Last week, the Redhawks outscored opponents 53-49 in the fourth quarter or later. Seattle U is shooting 50% from the field after the third quarter ends over the last three games. That includes a 42% mark from deep. In its last six home games, Seattle U has outscored the opposition in the fourth quarter every time. Only Chicago State among WAC opponents has outscored Seattle U in the fourth quarter at home.
COURTHREE MURPHY
Courtney Murphy is one three pointer away from joining Kaylee Best as the only Redhawks ever to make 170+ threes in their careers. Murphy has made at least one three in seven consecutive games and in 20 of 26 games this year. Murphy has made at least one three in 67 of her 80 career games. Murphy has led the Redhawks in made threes twice in her career before: if she were to do so this year, she would be the first Redhawk ever to do so in three different seasons. Currently, she has made nine more threes than any other Redhawk this year.
BARBARA BUCKETS
Against Tarleton State, Barbara Rangel went 2-for-6 from the field. That was the only time this year Rangel has shot under 50% while taking at least four shots. Since then, Rangel has shot 56% from the field. Rangel's .538 field goal percentage would be fifth in the WAC if she had enough attempts to qualify. She has shot 50% or better in 12 of her 20 appearances with at least one shot and in 12 of 18 with multiple shots.
THE BIG 4-0-0
Suzy Barcomb secured her 400th win as a head coach at Lamar. In her career, Barcomb has a .594 winning percentage. That includes nine 20+ win seasons. Barcomb is one of just three coaches in the WAC with 400+ collegiate wins, alongside Stephen F. Austin's Mark Kellogg (410 wins) and Abilene Christian's Julie Goodenough (486).
