ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Seattle U Redhawks finished out a perfect weekend with a 5-2 win over St. Thomas. The Redhawks scored just four batters into the game and never looked back as they improved to 5-0 on the season.

The first four batters of the game all reached base for Seattle U, who led 3-0 after the first inning. Tai Wilson and Olivia Viggiano were near-perfect atop the lineup, reaching base in six of seven plate appearances in the game.

It was a team effort on offense: five different players scored a run and five drove in runs. Viggiano led the way with a run and an RBI to go along with her two hits. Kalyn Hill and Lily Garcia added extra-base hits.

In the circle, Izzy Dino made her first start for the Redhawks, allowing two runs in four innings of work. Grace Luderer took over after that and retired the first six batters and nine of the ten she faced, allowing just one walk. The freshman struck out five, giving her 11 strikeouts in her first 7.1 collegiate innings.
