BOZEMAN, Mont. - Seattle U women's tennis began its two match set at the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center in Bozeman, Montana, Friday morning against Montana State. The Bobcats started the match off strong and never let up, winning 6-1 on their home courts.

Freshman Jade Quintana earned Seattle U's lone point in singles play, defeating JJ Chen by a scoreline of 6-4, 6-1. Fellow freshman Elena Kraleva (1-6, 7-5, 5-7) and senior Hannah Grossman (6-4, 2-6, 8-10) were both close to earning another point for the Redhawks as they forced Mirte Van Baelen and Andrea Cuquerella to a third set in their respective singles matches. Freshman Mireia Fehr (4-6, 4-6) competed in two competitive sets against Marta Garcia-Reboredo, while senior Jillian Rasmussen (0-6, 0-6) faced off against Jazmin Lerman and fellow senior Aranza Alvarez Sanabria (1-6, 1-6) made her season debut against Felicia Jayasaputra.

In doubles play, Kraleva and Alvarez Sanabria earned a victory over Lerman and Jayasaputra, 6-4. The Bobcats would claim the doubles point however as Quintana and Fehr (2-6) teamed up against Garcia Reboredo and Rasmussen and Grossman (1-6) battled against Chen and Cuquerella.

The Redhawks will conclude their weekend in Bozeman tomorrow against Oral Roberts, starting at 9 a.m. in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
