SEATTLE - After five straight games away from home, Seattle U returns to the Redhawk Center this week for one home game. This will be Seattle U's first home game since November 13. That five-game road trip was the longest road trip for the Redhawks since 2016-17, when they went 1-5 on a six-game road trip. The Redhawks are 18-11 at home over the last three seasons.

The Redhawks will take on crosstown rival Washington on Friday for this week's only game before hitting the road once again next week. The Redhawks will be hosting a toy drive to benefit Seattle Children's Hospital during that game. Fans can bring new, unused toys to donate at the game. Seattle Children's Hospital recommends toys from their list available here.

Fans will also have a chance to take part in a clothing drive for St. Francis House. Fans can bring new, unused clothing to donate at the game. St. Francis House recommends clothing from their list available here.

FOLLOW THE REDHAWKS

THE HOT HAND

Bree Calhoun has scored at least 15 points in three of the last four games after reaching that mark seven times in 25 games last season. Since starting the year shooting 36.4% from the field, she has shot 44.9% from the field over the last four, including three games shooting over 50%. Calhoun's 14.8 PPG during that stretch would be ninth in the WAC over the full season thus far.

DEFENSE FIRST

Jadynn Alexander has recorded at least one steal in four straight games after picking up two at Boise State. In Alexander's three starts this season, the Redhawks have held the opposition to 30.1% shooting from the field. Seattle U's opponents are averaging 18 turnovers per game in those three starts.

FROM DOWNTOWN

McKenzi Williams made four three-pointers at Boise State, tied for the second-most of her career. Williams has only made more once, making five against Idaho on December 21, 2020 in a 36-point performance. Williams has now made at least one three in five straight games, the longest such stretch of her career. Her 12 three-point makes this year are already the second-most Williams has ever made it a season.

SHOOTERS GONNA SHOOT

Irena Korolenko went 3-for-6 from three-point range against Boise State, the third time this year she has shot at least 50% from deep and tenth time in 29 career games. Korolenko is now shooting 41.4% from deep this season: only four players in the WAC are shooting a higher percentage from deep while taking more than Korolenko's 4.1 three-pointers per game.

GRAND THEFT BASKETBALL

The Redhawks recorded ten steals against Boise State, their second consecutive game with 10+ steals and fourth this year. Seattle U has recorded at least nine steals in every game this year. Currently, the Redhawks are one of just five teams in the WAC averaging 10+ steals per game. Six different Redhawks are averaging at least one steal per game, with Georgia Kehoe close behind at 0.9 SPG.

NO POINTS ALLOWED

The Redhawks are third in the WAC in opponent's field goal percentage at 35.2%. Only one opponent, Long Beach State, has shot over 40% from the field against Seattle U this year. Seattle U has also forced over 17 turnovers per game: that includes three consecutive games of 17 or more turnovers. Only two opponents have recorded more assists than turnovers against Seattle U thus far.

RAINING THREES

Courtney Murphy needs five more three pointers to become the fourth Redhawk ever with 150 or more in their career. She would join Kaylee Best (195), Ashley Payne (168), and Jessie DeLauney (153) in that regard. Murphy has made at least one three in 52 of her 60 career games and has made multiple in 45 games.
