CHICAGO – The Seattle U Redhawks had back-to-back tight sets but took the loss Saturday, falling 15-25, 28-30, 25-27 to Chicago State on the road. The Redhawks fought off set points time and again in both the second and third set but couldn't put together enough of a scoring run to take the set. Seattle U would lead in both of the final two sets, including a 21-19 lead late in set three.

Eve Kerschenbaum moved to sixth all-time in kills, tying Libby Graff with her 775th career kill.

Katlyn Sipes was excellent in the libero role, routinely making big digs to keep the ball alive. Sipes would end the day with a career-high 26 digs. It was the second 20-dig performance of Sipes' young career: she also had 26 digs against Southeastern Louisiana earlier in the year in a four-set match.

Sofia Sanchez led the team with 14 kills to go along with seven digs. Sierra Bartley also had ten kills. Lauren McCabe had seven blocks, the third time this year she has recorded seven blocks.

Two road games remain in the regular season, both next week. The Redhawks will face Dixie State on Thursday, November 11 at 5:00 pm PT, then finish the regular season at Utah Valley on Saturday, November 13 at 12:00 pm PT.
