SEATTLE  – A furious offense from the Seattle U couldn't quite carry the Redhawks to victory Thursday. Seattle U fell in five sets to Utah Valley at home, 13-25, 25-20, 25-21, 22-25, 8-15.

Sofia Sanchez had the first double-double of her career, recording 11 kills and 13 digs. Sierra Bartley had a new career high in kills with 17, hitting .400 in the match. Julia Queiroz matched her season high with 14 kills, her third match with 14 kills

The Redhawks rode impressive runs from Sanchez and Bartley in their two set wins. That duo entered set two with two kills between them: they would record 16 kills between them in those two sets.

Seattle U nearly took the match in set four, storming back to trail just one at 19-20 after trailing by as much five points. A timeout by Utah Valley followed, with the Wolverines rallying out of the stoppage to take the set. A 4-1 start to set five by Utah Valley proved too much to overcome for the Redhawks despite a late 4-2 run.

S4 | No answer for Sanchez! She's just one kill away from a double-double!
