RIVERSIDE, Calif.  – The Seattle U Redhawks took second in all three of their dual meets Thursday. Sammy Mosier led the way with two individual wins, taking home event wins in the 50 Free and 100 Fly. Lydia Genson also had two wins over San Diego, in the 100 Back and 200 Back.
 
The Redhawks would end the day with ten wins in total in a success first meet of the busy weekend. Mosier and Genson led the way with multiple wins each, with Mosier capturing the 50 Free (24.54) and 100 Fly (57.94) titles and Genson the 100 Back (1:02.17) and 200 Back (2:12.95).
 
Mosier had the fastest 50 Free time of any swimmer on the women's side. Seattle U's other nine individual wins would come in the dual meet against San Diego.
 
Danika Himes won the 200 Breast with her time of 2:26.08 for her first individual title of the year. Isabella Guadiamos took the 400 IM title with her time of 4:44.65. Maggie Robben won the 200 Free with a 2:01.10, finishing just ahead of Emilia Culberson's time of 2:01.16.
 
In the 1000 Free, the Redhawks excelled, taking all three top spots against San Diego. Michaela Day led the way with a 10:58.79, followed by Cassie Koester with an 11:01.70 and Manna Nelson with a 11:07.80.
 
On the men's side, the Redhawks would end the day with four second-place finishes. Michael Luna's 1000 Free time of 9:52.17 put him just ahead of Juan Varela, who took third with a 9:59.30. Will Corona took second in the 200 Back with a 1:58.02. Jack Neton also earned a second-place finish with his 200 Breast time of 2:09.33.
 
In the final event of the day, the Redhawks took second in the 200 Free Relay. Seattle U's team of Corona, Connor Barringer, Andres Banuelos, and Emmett Moore had a time of 1:26.46, almost two full seconds ahead of third place.
 
The Redhawks are back in action tomorrow and Saturday in Los Angeles. The men will compete against host Loyola Marymount, while the women compete with LMU, San Diego State, and Grand Canyon. The Friday meet begins at 12:00 pm and Saturday's meet begins at 11:00 am.
