OREM, Utah – Seattle University women's soccer fell at Utah Valley, 2-0, Thursday evening. The Redhawks outshot the hosts, 10-8, but were unable to find the back of the net.
Both defenses-controlled play throughout much of the first half but UVU was able to break the deadlock on a shot right inside the box in the 30th minute. Bailey Hall had a shot fly just high and wide for SU's best chance of the first half.
Seattle U opened the second half with a flurry of shots, as Hailee Rasmussen, Gina Leete and Emily Bunnell all fired off shots within the first five minutes. However, Utah Valley added to their lead in the 66th minute, marking the last goal of the night.
The Redhawks will conclude the weekend at Dixie State on Saturday at 12 p.m.
