RIVERSIDE, Calif.  – The first of two games against California Baptist this week went against the Seattle U Redhawks, who fell 20-25, 11-25, 22-25 to the Lancers. The Redhawks would lead in every set but couldn't pull off a set victory.

Sierra Bartley had 14 kills to lead the Redhawks, including eight in the third set alone. Sofia Sanchez came one kill away from second double-double in the last three matches, ending with nine kills and ten digs.

Ezgi Ozkan and Darian Goins had double-digit assists once again. Ozkan picked up 16, along with a spotless three kills and zero errors. Goins had ten kills in two sets of work. Kylie Waters had 11 digs, her fourth match with double-digit digs this season.

The game shifted at the net, as California Baptist's ten blocks in three sets made the difference. The Redhawks managed five blocks, including three by Bartley, but were unable to put together runs to build a lead in the match. Seattle U had a 4-0 run in the third set and would trade points late, only for California Baptist's early lead to buoy them to victory in a close final set.
