Cogswell Ties for Fourth at Beaver Invitational

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Seattle U men's golf completed play at the Oregon State Beaver Invitational on Tuesday, finishing sixth out of 15 teams. Senior Nathan Cogswell starred for the Redhawks, tying for fourth with a three-round total of 211 (70-70-71). Cogswell led the field in birdies made at 14 and tied for second in par five scoring average.

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Seattle U men's golf completed play at the Oregon State Beaver Invitational on Tuesday, finishing sixth out of 15 teams. Senior Nathan Cogswell starred for the Redhawks, tying for fourth with a three-round total of 211 (70-70-71). Cogswell led the field in birdies made at 14 and tied for second in par five scoring average.

SU posted a team score of 19-over 871, with its best round of 287 coming in the final round. The two-day, 54-hole event took place at the Trysting Tree Golf Club on the 7,384 yards course with a par of 71.

Sophomore Blake Kukula (73-72-69) also finished in the top-15 with a strong round three, while senior Jack Rahon (74-74-75) finished fourth overall in made pars at 41. Rounding out the team score for Seattle U are senior Federico Gutierrez and freshman Liam Gill with three round totals of 229 (78-79-72) and 234 (82-74-78). 

Competing as individuals were senior Harrison Murphy and Alex Fowke, finishing with three round totals of 227 (76-77-74) and 231 (76-75-80). 

Seattle U will conclude its fall slate with the St. Mary's Invitational in Pebble Beach, Calif., from November 8-10.
