SEATTLE – The Seattle U Redhawks announced the return of Phil Mann today as the director of baseball operations. Mann rejoins the Redhawks for his sixth year, having served as a graduate assistant, operations assistant and director of operations for Redhawk Baseball before.
"We are blessed to have Phil back in our organization," said head coach Donny Harrel about the hire. "He takes so much off my plate personally and has been my brain for so many years, making sure everything is running as smoothly as possible for our staff, players, parents, and fans of Seattle U baseball. Phil is a workhorse and the relationships he has built in our world of baseball is priceless and we are all excited to be able to work with him again."
A native of Wilmette, Illinois, Mann enters his fourth season as the director of operations for the Seattle U baseball program. Mann has also worked with the Everett AquaSox, Seattle Mariners, Seattle Seahawks and University of Washington Athletics in the past.
"It was clearly a sign, watching the Redhawks during the 2021 WAC Tournament, that this squad is ready to bust out in 2022," said Mann. "I wouldn't miss this for anything."
Mann earned his Master's of Sports Business and Leadership from Seattle U in 2017. He is married to Genny, who is a registered nurse at Virginia Mason.
