BREMERTON, Wash. – Seattle U men's golf is schedule to tee off its 2021-22 season on Monday at the Husky Invitational, hosted by Washington, in Bremerton, Wash. The two-day event is schedule to take place on the 7,155 yard course at Gold Mountain Golf Club with a par of 72. The scheduled dates are September 20-21 with shotgun starts both days starting at 8 a.m. PT.
The Redhawks will be competing against golfers from Boise State, Cal Poly, Idaho, Long Beach State, Missouri, Nevada, Oregon, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Southern Missouri, St. Mary's, Toledo, Washington State and the hosts Washington. Seattle U's team lineup will consist of seniors Nathan Cogswell, Federico Gutierrez and Jack Rahon, sophomore Blake Kukula and freshman Liam Gill. Competing as individuals will be senior Harrison Murphy and junior Alex Fowke.
2020-21 All-WAC First Team member, Nathan Cogswell, leads this group. Fellow seniors Federico Gutierrez and Jack Rahon will look to stay consistent members in the lineup as they competed in all but three rounds collectively last season. Sophomore Blake Kukula rounds out the group of returners as he looks to follow up a strong freshman season.
The final member of the team score, freshman Liam Gill, won two Challenge Cup Championships and qualified for 2018 Junior World Championship while at Wayland High School. The two transfers, Alex Fowke and Harrison Murphy, join from Laurentian and Northwestern. All three will be making their Seattle U debut in this tournament.
