Volleyball Announce 2021 Schedule

SEATTLE — Seattle University Volleyball and second-year head coach Michelle Cole announced the Fall 2021 season schedule on Thursday.
 
The Redhawks' slate is comprised of 26 regular season matches, features six Western Athletic Conference dates at the Redhawk Center and also boosts six teams ranked among the last season's NCAA RPI Top 150.
 
"We are really excited and can't wait to return to the court this season as we regain a sense of normalcy," said Cole. "The schedule that we were put together will be a challenge as we face quality opponents each week. The non-conference schedule alone will test us early and often as we get back into the swing of things and will give our team a great opportunity to prepare for a competitive WAC schedule."

 VIEW 2021 VOLLEYBALL SCHEDULE  

Seattle U will unofficially kick things off on Aug. 16 with the second annual Red-White Scrimmage, before hosting Seattle Pacific for an exhibition on Aug. 20.
 
The Redhawks start the 2021 campaign with 11 matches at neutral or road venues. The Seattle U season opener is set for Aug. 27 in Pocatello, Idaho as it faces Idaho State. The Redhawks will then square off with UC Irvine and UTEP a day later.
 
In September, Seattle U is slated to visit Montana (9/1), before taking part in the Gonzaga Invitational where it will face Air Force (9/3), Gonzaga (9/3) and Oklahoma (9/4). The team then heads south to the Land of Enchantment to play UC San Diego (9/10), New Mexico (9/11) and Southeastern Louisiana (9/11) at the New Mexico Tournament. 
 
The non-conference slate concludes the following week in Cheney, Washington as the Redhawks face former conference rival CSU Bakersfield and Eastern Washington on Sept. 17 and 18, respectively.
 
Seattle U returns to the Redhawk Center on Sept. 23 for its conference opener against Chicago State. Other home WAC contests include Utah Valley (10/7), Dixie State (10/9), California Baptist (10/16), Grand Canyon (10/28) and NM State (10/30).  
 
The Redhawks' conference schedule feature trips to NM State (9/30), Grand Canyon (10/2), California Baptist (10/14), Chicago State (11/6), Dixie State (11/11) and Utah Valley (11/13). Seattle U will also face UTRGV (10/22) and WAC newcomer Lamar (10/23) in Beaumont, Texas as part of the league's new crossover format. 
 
The 2021 WAC Championships is slated to start Nov. 18 and will be held at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, N.M.
 
Information regarding in-person attendance, as well as season and single-match tickets will be announced at a later date.
