SEATTLE – Seattle U women's tennis has added four signees to their 2021 class, as talented student athletes Liliya Dimova, Elena Kraleva, Mireia Fehr and Jade Quintana signed National Letters of Intent to play tennis for the Redhawks starting next fall.
"Our team is gaining some great talent," said Head Coach Kristina Hollander. "We are adding players that can contribute immediately to our squad and lineup. Elena and Liliya bring passion and talent to our team, while Mireia brings discipline and Jade brings that fighting spirit. I can not express how excited I am to begin working with these four women and I look forward to a great year that is to come."
Dimova, a native of Varna, Bulgaria, joins Seattle U from tennis club Haskovo 2015. She arrives with numerous accomplishments under her belt as she won first place at the national indoor singles tournament, national outdoor singles tournament and national indoor doubles championships in Bulgaria at the U18 level. Dimova has also always been ranked in the top-five in Bulgaria from U12-U18.
Kraleva, also joins Seatle U from Bulgaria, where she played for Avenue Tennis Club in Burgas. She is a two-time national team champion (2015-2016) and played in two European Summer Cups at the U12 and U18 level.
Fehr joins the Redhawks from Pfaeffikon, Switzerland, where she played for tennis club Horgen from 2016-2020. During 2018, she placed third in singles and was a finalist in doubles at the Junior Swiss Champions Trophy U16, while also being on the top doubles team at the ITF J5 in Horgen, Switzerland. Fehr has been considered to be one of the top ten in Switzerland for her age group from 2013-2020.
Quintana joins Seattle U from Odyssey Charter High School, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is an L3 doubles champion, L3 5th place singles recipient and served as an ambassador for the 2019 Necker Cup.
