DENVER, Colo. - Seattle U's Nathan Cogswell was named on the All-WAC first team on Wednesday, following a vote by the eight head coaches of the Western Athletic Conference.
The junior from Kent, Wash., was the most consistent performer for SU this season. Cogswell posted the best individual round score this season of 67 and led the team in average score at 73.41. His best performance of the season came at the WAC Championships where he finished in a tie for ninth place at 1-under 215. At this event, Cogswell tied for first in par four scoring at 1-under and made a total of 13 birdies.
"I am so thankful for Nathan, probably more than he even realizes," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "He has the potential to be a great leader and influencer on this program and I am looking forward to the opportunities we will have together next year as we are always looking improve. This team knows they can count on Nathan to stay positive each week as he consistently gives it his all."
