SEATTLE — Seattle University men's and women's swimming hosted its annual banquet, virtually, on Thursday evening via Zoom.

"This was an exciting night," said head coach Craig Nisgor. "Although we were socially distanced again, we were still able to come together and celebrate the season. It was a difficult year but the team did an awesome job working through it while getting it done in the pool and in the classroom."

Nisgor emceed the event which saw over 100 participants from across the country on the Zoom call.

"It was really nice to see so many people from all over be part of the call; and I think it speaks to the incredible support we get from the parents and everyone close to the program who helps us thrive," said Nisgor.

The Redhawks also celebrated this year's senior class which included Emily Bakewell, Kailey DeLozier, Sherlyn Devadason, Bryn Lasher, Jennifer WongJake GoguenTaj Mercer and Isaac Parker. Classmates Allison Plamondon and Jack Neton were also recognized but will be returning for the 2021-22 campaign.

"We're losing a great senior group and they will definitely be missed," Nisgor stated. "They've done some really good things during their time here and have helped Seattle U swimming keep going in the right direction."

Neton celebrated his fellow seniors with the following video.

The evening was highlighted by the announcement of team accolades. Taking home Most Improved was freshman Cassie Koester from the women's team and junior Kyle Bailey from the men's squad, while sophomore Danika Himes and Neton garnered Most Valuable Swimmer accolades. Both awards were decided via a vote by their respective teammates.

Rounding out the awards was sophomore Isabella Guadiamos and junior Tyler Goodspeed as this year's recipients of the Coaches' Awards.

The event then concluded with the following videos made by Allison Plamondon and Neton.
