SEATTLE — The underclassmen stood tall on Thursday, as Seattle U women's swimming was overpowered in its regular-season finale, falling to Dixie State 187-71, at home.

The highlight of the evening for Seattle U was a 1-2-3 finish in the 1000-yard freestyle. Freshman Cassie Koester won the event with a near 18-second advantage, as she clocked in at 10:52.45. Freshman Manna Nelson (11:01.99) followed for second, while third-place went to sophomore Michaela Day (11:13.13.28).

Freshmen Emilia Culberson then took second in the 200 freestyle (1:58.86), before earning a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle as she touched in at 54.56.

Sophomore Danika Himes helped the Seattle U cause by notching second-place finishes in the 200 backstroke (2:11.03) and the 200 individual medley (2:11.67). 

Sophomore Isabella Guadiamos meanwhile tallied third-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (26.40), 200 breaststroke (2:32.46) and 200 individual medley (2:18.27).

The Redhawks will now turn their collective attention to the WAC Championships. Dixie State will host this season's event which scheduled Feb. 17-20.
