SEATTLE — Seattle University women's swimming returns to action on Saturday, as the Redhawks are set to host Whitworth in their home opener. Fans will not be permitted inside Redhawk Center, however will be able to watch the action for free via WAC Digital Network or on Facebook Live. The first event is slated for a 10 am.

ABOUT WHITWORTH
• The Pirates were 6-2 in duals last season, before finishing second in the Northwest Conference meet
• At the helm, Whitworth is led by head coach Steve Schadt who's in his 18th season.

HISTORY
• Prior to Saturday, Seattle U faced Whitworth 16 times in dual meet action since the first meeting in 2000. 
• The Redhawks are 13-3 all-time against the Pirates, including victories in the last 13 meets. 
• Seattle U is 8-1 at the Redhawks Center in duals against Whitworth. 
• The most points scored Seattle U in a meet against Whitworth was 258 on in a win on Jan. 5, 2019. The Pirates' highest total against Seattle U, 134, came on Nov. 10, 2007 and was their last win at the Redhawk Center.

LAST MEETING
In their lasting meeting, the Redhawks soundly defeated Whitworth, 183-79, as they hosted the Pirates on January 11, 2020. Seattle U won the 12 of 14 events, which included podium sweeps in the 50 free and 200 individual medley.
